From a Small Town to a Fast Moving World Hasna Sari and the Discipline of Learning

Hasna Sari, a translator at KCIC PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China, continues to build her career through discipline and continuous learning.

International, Berpola- Not every journey starts in a place people notice. For Hasna Sari, it began quietly in Malang, East Java. Far from the noise of big cities, she grew up in a regency environment where opportunities often feel distant. But early on, she chose to see things differently.

The world, she believed, is not defined by where you start, but by how far you are willing to learn.

“I’ve always loved learning languages,” Hasna said.

It sounds simple, but that interest became a direction. While others were still figuring things out in high school, Hasna had already made a choice. She entered the Language and Culture track and began building a path with intention.

For her, language was not just a subject. It was access.

Crossing Borders Building Precision

That sense of direction took her beyond Indonesia. Through a scholarship, Hasna continued her studies at Huaqiao University in Xiamen, China. The move demanded more than academic readiness. It required adaptation, discipline, and the ability to grow under pressure.

Mandarin was no longer something to memorize. It became something to live with. Every conversation, every interaction, and every mistake became part of the process.

This was where learning turned into practice.

In 2023, she returned to Indonesia with more than a degree. She brought back a skill set shaped by real experience. She stepped into the professional world as a translator, working with major companies and handling communication that required accuracy and cultural awareness.

The work demanded precision. There was no room for approximation.

At the same time, she also entered education, teaching Mandarin and passing on what she had learned. A move to Kendari, far from home, added another layer to her journey. It was not comfortable, but it was necessary.

Growth, after all, rarely happens in familiar places.

Learning as a Discipline

Today, Hasna Sari works as a translator at KCIC PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China, a strategic project linking Indonesia and China. The position is not a sudden breakthrough. It is the result of a long process built on consistency.

For Hasna, learning is not a phase. It is a discipline. Language continues to evolve, and so does the demand for those who work with it. That is why she keeps refining her skills, staying relevant in a fast moving environment.

Her journey shows that progress is not always defined by big moments. More often, it is shaped by small decisions made repeatedly. To keep learning. To keep moving. To not stop halfway.

From a regency in East Java to an international project, Hasna’s path is not exceptional because of where it began. It is exceptional because she chose to continue.
